At the barn’s 100th birthday party in 2011, we witnessed a rare and wonderful dragonfly migration — a river of dragonflies more than a mile long flowed westward, about 50 feet above us and over the barn.

In 2024 the dragonfly chandelier was created and installed in honor of Peg and Andy’s 19th wedding anniversary,
When Peg was a child, she and her brothers and cousins would jump from here down into the hay below.
